Many reports claim Sunny Deol might soon start working on the long-awaited sequel of Border (1997). Earlier, the makers shared the announcement video, which has gained massive attention among netizens.
The viral video had the voiceover of Sunny Deol recreating the iconic song ‘Sandese Aate Hai’. That viral video also mentioned that the upcoming Border 2 would be ‘India’s biggest war film’.
However, it is also confirmed that it will be produced by JP Dutta, daughter of Nidhi Dutta, and the latter’s husband Binnoy K Gandhi. Binnoy’s directorial debut Ghudchadi is also going to hit theaters on August 9.

Binnoy K Gandhi informed me that Border 2 is coming very soon. Gandhi informed that Nidhi Dutta had completed the script and his first reaction after reading the script was ‘Wow, your father has written a great script’.
She then confirmed that the script was ready. Her assistant writer also confirmed that Nidhi has completed the script. They have also confirmed that the shooting for the sequel is expected to begin in November.
There are many names in the discussion around the cast of Border 2 from Ayushmann Khurrana to Diljit Khurrana. Binnoy K Gandhi avoided saying anything about it but he also said, “The star cast will be announced soon. Within a month, we are going to organize a big event where we are going to showcase the entire star cast with their characters and their getups.”
The director of Border 2 would be Anurag Singh who is popular for directing Kesari (2019).
The release date of Sunny Deol starrer Border 2 has not been revealed yet.
