R Ashwin, an Indian spinner is known for his anger which he has demonstrated several times on the field. He added another chapter to his angry Ashwin book when he raged during the eliminator match against Chepauk Super Gillies in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).

Batting first Chepauk restricted them to 158/6 in 20 overs, but when Dindigul came to chase the target they lost the early wicket of Vimal Khumar in the second over and then there was a match-winning partnership took place between Ashwin and Shivam.

However, the match wasn’t that easy as five runs were needed in the final five deliveries as Baba Indrajith dismissed Ashwin in the 14th over followed by Prekm Kumar. Then Suboth Bhati and Dinesh Raj nicely controlled their temprament taking Dindigul over the line.

The support staff next to Ashwin were left in split and Ashwin’s avatar was surprising for them as well.

After securing the victory, Dindiful made his place in the second qualifier on Friday in Chennai. In a post-match ceremony, R Ashwin became player of the match for his incredible knock of 57 runs in just 35 deliveries. In the post-match ceremony, the Indian spinner said, “Pressure does these things (on the near collapse), we’ll have to have a chat, but the important thing was we closed the game. It was an imperfect game, despite our shoddy bowling and fielding, we kept them down to a low score,”
