In the third One-Day International of the five-match series, the Mitchell Marsh-led Australians will take against England after winning the second One-Day International by 68 runs to take a lead by 2-0.

The third match will take place at Chester-le-Street’s Riverside Ground. From the perspective of both clubs, the game will be crucial in determining how the five-match series will move ahead as the home team is looking for ways to make a comeback.

In the first ODI, the visitors triumphed against the hosts by 7 wickets to get the series underway. Later in the second match, the reigning world champions denied England an opportunity to rally and won by 68 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Speaking of the Three Lions, they are currently in danger of dropping the five-game series; therefore, it will be a game of do-or-die for them to ensure that the series remains interesting until the very end. The Harry Brook-led team will therefore aim to win this game in order to maintain their prospects.

All eyes will be on the exciting contest that is going to take place on the cricket field as the squad prepares for the impending match on Tuesday.

AUS Vs ENG, 3rd ODI: Riverside Ground Pitch Report

In general, Chester-Le-Street’s Riverside Ground pitch provides ideal batting conditions. As the game goes on, the hitters will find it easier to get going even though the fast bowlers will get a hint of seam movement early on with the new ball. Especially in the second portion of the game, the spinners will receive some turn off the surface. The toss-winner may decide to bat first given the recent record.
