Team India is all set to play a two-match test series against Bangladesh. The series will begin on September 19, 2024, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Under the guidance of head coach Gautam Gambhir and Bowling coach Morne Morkel, this is India’s first test series.

Senior batter Virat Kohli is making his comeback in the red ball cricket who missed the previous test series due to the birth of his second child. 

Bangladesh has never defeated India in any test. However, they recently defeated Pakistan on their home soil which boosted their confidence. After clean-sweeping in Pakistan, Bangladesh aims to repeat its winning streak in India as well.

Bangladesh almost stunned India in 2022

Bangladesh almost won their first test match against India in 2022 when while playing in Dhaka. India struggled while chasing in the fourth inning and lost 7 wickets at a score of 74 runs while chasing 145 runs. Thanks to R Ashwin and Shreyas Iyers 71-run partnership helped India to win the series by 2-0. India so far has defeated Bangladesh in 11 matches out of 13 and two matches drawn.

After being failed in winning their first test against India, Bangladesh eagerly waiting to change its history and defeat India in their home soil. It is interesting for them to play their first match on September 19 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
